Barrow is close to the charming town of Barton upon Humber which has plenty for visitors to see and do. The magnificent Humber Bridge is the perfect backdrop for walks along the Humber Estuary, whilst the town itself offers shops, a museum, restaurants, pubs and an impressive 10th century church. The Humber is one of Britain's largest estuaries supporting abundant wildlife. Barton Clay Pits, once the home of a thriving tile and brick industry, extended for 5 miles along the riverbank at either side of the bridge. These flooded pits are a haven for wildlife, each having its own character, providing facilities for a wider range of outdoor pursuits.
